Best Lightweight Jogging Strollers Reviewed
Having a baby in the family might change the way you do things, but it doesn’t have to stop you from doing the things you love altogether! If you want to start or get back into a fitness regimen, finding the right jogging stroller is a great place to start.
Whether you’re a runner or simply a parent who likes to take long walks (and sometimes off the beaten path), a jogging stroller is a useful product to have at your disposal.
Trying to find the best jogging stroller for your family can be a little bit daunting. Afterall, they tend to look relatively similar, but they differ in functionality, price, and even extra add-ons.
That’s why I’ve gone through the jogging strollers available in 2019 to compile a list of the best lightweight jogging strollers on the market right now!
Extra features
Most jogging strollers are equipped with all-terrain wheels, which is great because this allows you and Baby to hit the trails together! However, there are plenty of extra features that some light jogging strollers have that others don’t, and it’s worth your while to consider which ones are most important to you!
Adjustable handlebar: This is a nice option for parents who are vastly different in height. Are you 5 foot flat but your partner is six foot two? Consider a jogging stroller with an adjustable handlebar so you can both use it with ease.
Adjustable/customizable seat: Not all jogging strollers are equipped to carry infants, but some are built to adjust with Baby. If you’re a new parent and want to be able to use your jogging stroller for the next few years, consider a stroller that is built to hold infants and toddlers!
Cupholders and handlebar storage: This one is pretty self-explanatory. If you want your water bottle, your cellphone, or snacks for Baby right at your fingertips, a jogging stroller equipped with handlebar storage may be your best option!
Canopy: Do you want to have safe fun in the sun or the rain? Jogging strollers typically come equipped with some level of coverage for Baby, but a few on this list offer full or close-to-full protection from the elements!
Child tray: This is a nice attachment if Baby needs a snack along the way!
This doesn’t cover every extra feature I’ll note in this list, but these are the ones we’ll be seeing most frequently!
Just to be clear before I begin, this list is written in order of price, and does not reflect my personal opinions or rankings
1: Baby Trend Expedition Jogger Stroller
This is definitely the most budget-friendly stroller of the bunch. It can accept any Baby Trend infant car seat to become temporarily infant-friendly before Baby is ready to sit in the built-in toddler seat. This stroller is built to hold a child up to 50 pounds. The stroller itself weighs about 25.5 pounds.
2: Jeep Classic Jogging Stroller
This Jeep jogging stroller is designed to fit infant car seats manufactured by a variety of brands. Plus, it specifically states that the size and weight fit the Disney Park requirements! This stroller is designed to hold a child up to 50 pounds. The stroller itself weighs about 26 pounds
3: Baby Trend Expedition Travel System
This is one of my favorite budget jogging strollers, because for a good price you get both the stroller and the infant car seat! This stroller is designed to hold a child up to 50 pounds. The stroller itself weighs 41 pounds, but that’s including the infant car seat. It doesn’t specify the weight without the car seat.
4: Costzon Baby Jogger Stroller
This Costzon Jogger has some great perks—but also some serious drawbacks that you’re going to want to consider. It’s designed to hold a child up to 33 pounds, which is on the lower side. However, it weighs 22 pounds, which is quite lightweight!
5: Jeep Deluxe Patriot Open Trailers Jogging Stroller
Once again, Jeep Deluxe wants us all to know that their strollers meet Disney Park requirements! And, like the other Jeep Deluxe stroller on the list, this jogging stroller is equipped to fit a variety of infant car seats from popular manufacturers.
This stroller is designed to hold children up to 50 pounds. The stroller itself weighs a little under 27 pounds.
6: Baby Trend Expedition Double Jogger Stroller
This is one of two double strollers I’m including on this list—and it is way cheaper than the second! If you have two little ones, saving money is probably pretty important to you, right?
This is a great option for your wallet, and it allows you to take both kids on a walk without the help of your partner, family member, or friend! Sometimes you’ve got to be SuperMom or SuperDad, all on your own! Each seat is designed to hold a child up to 50 pounds.
What’s quite remarkable is that this double stroller is only 34 pounds!
7: Graco Modes Jogger SE Stroller
There are some really cool features with this Graco stroller! The most important thing is that you don’t need an extra infant car seat to make it adaptable for your infant—the seat is built to adjust to accommodate infants! Plus, you can turn it around completely so that Baby is looking right at you, which is great for little ones that don’t like Mom or Dad to be out of their sight! This stroller is designed to hold children up to 50 pounds. The stroller itself weighs 21 pounds.
8: Allen Sports Deluxe Steel Child Trailer
This is definitely the most unique jogging stroller on the list, but I need to point out that this is most definitely designed for toddlers, NOT infants.
If you’re looking for a stroller designed for younger babies, you can skip right on past this Allen Sports Deluxe Trailer. That being said, I wanted to include it anyways because there are a few things about it that some parents might find really appealing.
For starters, the breathable fabric with transparent window panels can be zipped up completely for full rain protection. Plus, it can be used as a stroller for walking and jogging, or it can be safely attached to most bicycles—but don’t forget a helmet for you and for your little one if you’re going to take a bike ride!
This child trailer is designed to carry children up to 50 pounds. The trailer itself is about 30 pounds.
- Full coverage for rider
- All-terrain wheels
- Bicycle adapter
- 5-point safety harness
- NOT meant for infants!
- No storage for Mom and Dad
- Some users have expressed disappointment with the safety harness because it is not padded
9: Graco FastAction Fold Jogger Stroller
This Graco FastAction Fold Jogger is nice and simple! The extra features are easy to use and straightforward, like the detachable child tray that makes loading and unloading a breeze.
They’ve also added something special for Mom and Dad—there’s an easy-access compartment that will fit most smart phones and MP3 players, allowing you to quickly check your texts or change your music without having to fumble with your pockets.
The stroller is designed to hold children up to 50 pounds. The stroller itself is a little on the heavier side at 32 pounds.
10: Baby Jogger Anniversary City Mini 3 Wheel Single Stroller
This Baby Jogger is fashionable with its leatherette comfort pads on the safety harness. The canopy is fairly large and has UV 50+ sun protection.
The handlebar is adjustable, so this jogging stroller is ready-made for any parent or guardian, no matter how short or tell they are! This stroller is designed to hold children up to 50 pounds. The stroller itself weighs as little as 18.4 pounds!
11: Joovy Zoom 360 Ultralight Jogging Stroller
This Joovy Zoom 360 has been designed to be 10% lighter than its predecessor! The canopy is, in the words of the manufacturer, oversized—which is an apt description!
It leans out further than most canopies, providing more shade for Baby without blocking his or her view as you walk, jog, or run errands! It also comes with a tire pump, which is a unique extra that can be really helpful!
This stroller is designed to hold a child up to 75 pounds, which is pretty impressive! The stroller itself weighs 25.7 pounds.
12: BOB Revolution Flex 2.0 Jogging Stroller
This BOB Revolution jogging stroller can be fitted with a variety of infant car seats designed by major brands. The handlebar can be adjusted to 9 different heights, making this a very customizable option for walkers of different heights.
Though there is no handlebar storage, the storage basket under the seat is maximized with extra pouches on the sides to store small things like snacks and keys.
This stroller is designed to hold a child up to 75 pounds. The stroller itself is 28.5 pounds.
13: Thule Glide 2.0 Performance Jogging Stroller
The Thule Glide 2.0 is a sleek, durable option that might be ideal for parents who know they’re going to grow their family over the years and don’t want to buy a new jogging stroller every time.
One unique feature of the Thule Glide is its closable peek-a-boo window in the canopy. This allows Mom or Dad to check in on Baby but keep it as dimly lit for napping as possible.
This stroller is designed to hold a child up to 75 pounds. The stroller itself is 23.8 pounds.
14: Thule Urban Glide 2.0 Double Jogging Stroller
The Thule Urban Glide 2.0 is very similar to the Thule Glide 2, with a few key differences. The handlebar is adjustable. The storage basket under the seat can be fully zipped shut.
It’s slightly more narrow than the Glide 2. And, it comes in four fun colors! This stroller is designed to hold a child up to 75 pounds. The stroller itself is 25.3 pounds.
15: Thule Urban Glide 2.0 Double Jogging Stroller
The last on the list is clearly the most expensive, but the good news is, this price tag is for two strollers in one! Once again, I’ve found a double stroller for the parents out there who have twins or two children who are close in age!
With the double jogging stroller, you’re going to get all of the benefits of the other Thule jogging strollers on this list, but for two. Each seat is designed to hold a child up to 75 pounds.
The stroller itself is 34.2 pounds.
Now that you’ve seen how different one jogging stroller can be from the next, you’ve hopefully gotten some good ideas regarding what you might be looking for! And remember, you don’t have to be a jogger to get a jogging stroller! They can be great for long walks and even running errands!
